About This Project

Jonagold is a type of orchard apple. The fruits are large, they are sunny yellow, while their sides towards the sun it orange-red to strawberry red. The flesh is yellowish, juicy, and has a sweet, fruity and subtly sour flavor. It can be used for cooking, making apple puree, or fresh consumption. Juice production is also popular, because the flesh of the fruit not only sweet, but juicy.
Jonagold can be enjoyed from October. It can be stored exceptionally well, and can therefore be consumed throughout the wintertime. The fruit has a slightly dappled skin tending towards green.
